Wayship

Wayship is a free browser new tab extension and personal hub that shows your live Discord status, the music you're playing, your phone's battery, the weather, your mood and your own widgets on every new tab, and gives you a free public profile page at yourname.wayship.link. It also has desktop and Android companion apps, friends, cross-device automations, notifications to your own devices, opt-in listening and gaming history with a yearly Wrapped, and a public API.

The new tab

Every new tab becomes a live dashboard you arrange yourself (drag, resize, click a widget to set it up):

• Discord: your status (online, idle, do not disturb), what you're playing or watching with Rich Presence details, and your custom status, live.
• Now playing: Spotify through Discord with no setup; any other player (YouTube Music, Apple Music, browser tabs, desktop players) through the desktop app; lyrics when available. The background can switch to the album art while music plays.
• Recently played: from Last.fm or ListenBrainz.
• Phone: battery, charging and temperature, and your calendar, from the Android app.
• Weather: current conditions and a forecast for your location.
• Mood: your imood mood, which you can also change from the new tab.
• Day and time, search, and your friends (who's online and what they're doing).

Your page (yourname.wayship.link)

A free profile page in the style of guns.lol / bio-link pages, but live:

• Your Discord card (avatar, banner, badges, decoration), live status and last seen, what you're playing, what you're listening to, and any of your widgets.
• A bio with animations, links (plus your Discord connections), backgrounds, particles (stars, snow, rain…), cursor trails and custom cursors, 3D tilt, fonts and name effects, background video and music (some of these are Plus).
• Rich link previews in Discord and elsewhere, server-rendered for search engines.
• Page analytics (visits, where they came from, link clicks, countries) without storing anyone's IP address (Plus).
• An "Add friend" button for signed-in visitors (can be hidden).
• Buttons that start your automations: let friends or visitors tap "Ring my phone", "Say hi" or "How's your day?" (with an optional text box), and reply to them. You choose who can press each one (only you, friends, or everyone), with built-in rate limits.
• Shareable status images and live embeds for GitHub READMEs and websites ("Share & embed").

Apps

• Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux): shares what's playing on your computer (any player) and receives notifications and files from your other devices; runs automation actions and triggers on the computer.
• Android: shares battery, charging, temperature and calendar; receives notifications and files; appears in the share sheet as "Send to "; home-screen widgets for any of your Wayship widgets (glass, solid or clear styles); runs automation actions and triggers on the phone (including private, on-phone location "places").
• Apps update themselves.

Friends

Add people by their page name. Friends see what you share with friends (status, music, last seen and so on, each one your choice), get live updates, and appear in the Friends widgets. Requests, blocking, and a friends-only privacy level throughout.

Automations

A MacroDroid-style automation builder that works across your devices and your Wayship data:

• Triggers ("When"): a button pressed on your new tab, page or home screen (by you, your friends or everyone, as you choose); your Discord status, games and custom status; music starting, stopping or changing; a friend coming online or starting a game; schedules; webhook widgets getting new data; variables changing; phone events (battery level, charging, Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth device, headphones, screen, startup, shake, arriving at or leaving a place, notifications from other apps); computer events (an app opening or closing, away and back, screen locked, startup, battery).
• Conditions ("Only if"): time windows, days, status, battery, Wi-Fi network, variables and more, combined with all/any groups.
• Actions ("Do"): Wayship notifications, webhooks and Discord webhook posts, sending links, text or files to your devices, updating a widget's data, setting variables; on the phone: notification, vibrate, flashlight, speak, open a link or app, volume, ring, clipboard, Do Not Disturb, media controls; on the computer: notification, open a link or app, media controls, volume, clipboard, lock screen, speak, and an opt-in "run a command".
• Flow: if / else if / else, wait, wait until, repeat, stop; questions on your devices (buttons, text or numbers) where the first answer wins and the prompt disappears from your other devices.
• Variables: per automation or account-wide, with values from your devices ({{phone.battery}}, {{computer.active_app}}) and the trigger. Account variables can be shown in widgets, each with its own Only me / Friends / Everyone setting.
• A step-by-step run log, a Test button, ready-made ideas, and import/export to share automations.

Notifications and Send to device

• Notifications to yourself: send push notifications to your own Wayship phone and desktop apps from scripts, bots, servers or automations, ntfy-style (curl -d "Backup done" https://wayship.link/api/notify), with priorities, tags, buttons, click links and delays. Free: 100 a day.
• Send to device: links, text and files between your phone, computers and browser; make a lost phone ring. Free: files up to 25 MB.

History and Wrapped

Optional (off until you turn it on): Wayship records the songs you play (from any source, counted once), the games and apps you use (with details like the project you're editing), time online, moods and custom statuses. You get stats over any range (top artists, songs, albums, games, when you listen, streaks) and a yearly Wayship Wrapped you can share. Only you can see it unless you share your Wrapped. Export or delete it any time.

The API

A public API at https://wayship.link/api (docs: https://wayship.link/docs, Markdown: https://wayship.link/docs.md):

• Read anyone's public data with no key (CORS open): Discord presence, now playing, phone, last seen, profile and widgets: GET /api/users/{page name}.
• Live updates over a WebSocket (wss://wayship.link/api/_ephaptic).
• API keys for your own data (read and/or notify).
• Live SVG status badges and cards, iframe embeds, notifications, automations, friends and history endpoints.
• Often used for: Discord status on a personal website, status bars (waybar, polybar), Discord bots, Home Assistant, stream overlays.

Privacy and safety

• Private by default; each kind of data has its own Only me / Friends / Everyone setting; the public page is off until you turn it on.
• Pictures, videos and music that people link to are loaded through Wayship, so the owner of that address never sees visitors' IP addresses.
• Page analytics never store IP addresses.
• History is opt-in; you can export or delete it.

FAQ

Is Wayship free? Yes. The extension, apps, page, friends, automations and API are free. Plus is optional.

Does it work without Discord? You sign in with Discord, and live status needs you to stay in the Wayship Discord server (that's how the bot sees your status). Music from other players, phone data, weather and widgets don't depend on Discord.

How does it get my Discord status? Through the Wayship Discord bot, the same way Discord shows your status to your friends. Join the server once after signing in.

How does it know what I'm listening to? Spotify shows up through Discord automatically; for anything else, the desktop app shares what's playing; Last.fm or ListenBrainz fill "recently played".

Is my data public? Only what you choose. The page is off until you turn it on, and each item has its own visibility setting.

Which browsers? Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Helium and other Chromium-based browsers.

Can I make my own widgets? Yes, with the visual builder (from any JSON address or a webhook), or install one from the gallery.
